I certainly wouldn't recommend this animation to everyone but if you are confident in your geekiness then check it out. It takes a while to load so be patient.
Imagine that out there somewhere someone got paid to put this animation together.

Here's why:
Hitachi is trying, in a clever way, to "own" the idea in minds of consumers that they are on the leading edge of technology. And they are using a form of "viral marketing" to do it.
Incidentally, referring to the page in your blog can only enhance this effect. This is what Hitachi are counting on.
