In Losing Ground, Charles Murray reported that it takes only three things to avoid poverty: finish high school; get married and stay married; get any sort of job at all and stay employed. If it's that easy, why have the Old Media and our "public intellectuals" been so ready to excuse those who won't do it?I've heard alot on the root causes of poverty but this is the most common sense statement on the topic I've ever heard.
